Registered Massage Therapist's are regulated health professionals that are trained in the assessment and treatment of soft tissue structures such as muscle, fascia, tendon and ligaments. Our massage therapists work with patients to help alleviate their pain, tension and stress, improve range of motion, mobility, posture and overall physical function. Massage therapy also supports tissue repair and healing by increasing circulation (blood flow), bringing more oxygen and other nutrients to the tissue. Massage techniques offered by our RMTs include Swedish, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy.

A Chiropodist is a primary care professional who specializes in the assessment, management and prevention of dysfunctions, disorders and diseases of the foot. Chiropodists can help a person with foot problems and significantly improve their general health, well-being and their quality of life. Chiropodists are skilled in the management of acute and chronic conditions affecting the foot. These conditions can include diabetes, sports and traumatic injuries, biomechanical disorders, ulcers and pediatric foot conditions. A referral is not required to consult a Chiropodist; however, Chiropodists often work closely with other medical professionals as part of the health care team.

Dr. Alan Ali, B.Sc. (Hons.), D.C. Chiropractor & Acupuncture Provider

Dr. Alan completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the Faculty of Life Sciences at McMaster University, after which time he decided to pursue his career in chiropractic. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

Dr. Alan has also completed his certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, as well as in Integrative Acupuncture Professional Practice Certificate from York University. Dr. Alan is also certified in Neurokinetic Therapy Level 1 and GLA:D Knee/Hip OA Programs. He continues to further his knowledge base by taking advanced manual therapy courses and volunteering his time within the profession.

Dr. Alan firmly believes in treating his patients using an evidence-based, integrative approach to treat the root cause of injury and dysfunction to help them recover quickly and prevent future recurrences. Dr. Alan utilizes manual joint and soft tissue techniques, acupuncture, modalities as well as rehabilitative exercises to help patients decrease pain and restore function to the affected muscles, joints and nervous system.

Dr. Alan is active member, in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is also a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association.

Piraanavan Kathirgamanathan (Perry) is a Registered Physical Therapist, graduating from the Western University. Prior to completing his Physiotherapy Degree, Perry graduated with honours, earning his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, from the University of Guelph. Perry has a passion for sports and rehabilitation, truly believing that the key to getting better is becoming stronger and more adaptable. His first experience in the field was as a student trainer with Guelph’s Varsity Men’s Basketball team during their 2019-2020 season. Perry has experience with multiple supports including basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee and martial arts; not to mention he has received his first-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Perry uses a combination of manual therapy, functional exercises, taping, and patient centered education to help clients return to their sport or back to normal life. He is looking towards furthering his education in acupuncture, active rehab, and advanced manual therapy to help his patients.

Growing up I took an interest in sports, playing hockey, soccer, rugby, as well as practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In my later teenage years I transitioned to fitness and personal training which led me to compete in multiple natural bodybuilding shows. Both my love of fitness and researching injuries I sustained along the way have inspired me to become a healthcare practitioner that specializes in sports injury rehabilitation.
